Trash to Treasures Fleamarket & Silent Auction & Book Sale

 

The best 2nd-hand shopping spot in the Enchanted Circle area before the 4th of July!

 

Where: In the cool pines of the Village of Angel Fire, northern New Mexico

 

Dates:

June 30 & July 1, 2007

Saturday, June 30, from 8am to 4pm

Sunday, July 1,  from 10am to 2pm

Place: Angel Fire Community Center, 71 Valley Road, Angel Fire, New Mexico

 

Specifics:

Fleamarket: 1000s of good-second-hand-quality donated items at bargain prices (e.g., furniture, sports equipment, arts & crafts supplies, dishes, electronics, toys, games, garden items, home repair, clothes for  all ages, linens)—everything must go!

Sunday is half-price day (most everything is ˝ off); our famous “Bag Sale” (all you can fit into a brown grocery bag for $2.-) begins at 12:15pm.

 

This Fleamarket is the gigantic annual fundraiser for the Shuter Library operating funds. The Shuter Library is a private, non-profit, volunteer-run community library serving Angel Fire and the Moreno Valley. We depend on this fundraiser to keep the library open for the next year.

 

Donations of items (except for books and clothing) for the Fleamarket will be accepted from now on and up until Friday June 29th.  If you are doing your spring cleaning out and wish to donate your treasures, please contact the Library for details and to make arrangements for storage or pick-up (377-3404).

 

Books, CDs, Tapes are welcome at any time of the year and should be dropped off at the library.

 

A donation receipt for all types of donations will be given upon request.

 

Silent Auction: Rare books, art, jewelry, new & used items of an unusual kind (e.g, a large flat screen TV, Waterford crystal). Silent auction closes promptly, Sunday, July 1st at  1pm. If you have special items you would like to donate to this auction, please contact Maria Beck (377-3404).

 

Gigantic Book Sale: Used & very gently-used books (paperback, hardback, coffee table books), tapes, CDs, videos. Come early for best picks and re-visit Sunday for an even greater sales deal.

 

Cost: no admission charge

 

Directions:

From Taos or Eagle Nest, NM, take Hwy 64. Enter Angel Fire on Mountain View Blvd (Highway 434)—at the blinking light—go south for about 1 ˝ miles. Turn left onto Angel Fire Rd, turn left onto Valley Rd to Angel Fire Community Center (71 Valley Road.). (Or just follow the signs all over town.)
